Last month we observed thousands of side-railed train cars visible along I-40 and I-25 freeways on our trip from CO to Phoenix and return. My parents live in AZ, and we do this trip frequently, and have never seen these "stored" train cars ever. They were all over Northern AZ, Northern NM, and Southern CO. I pointed it out to my wife, she also was surprised. Many were cattle cars. I grew up in cattle country, and I know they have never been sitting around in the spring like this in my lifetime. I assumed it was our depression causing this, never consider pre-positioned people movers until tonight's broadcast. Thanks Steve.
