Judgment Underway

I think there are Scriptures that clearly show that God judges nations on how they respond to Him and His messengers. One that isn't understood very well is the parable in Matthew 25 about the sheep and the goats. Those nations who treat 'the least of His brethren' properly will receive reward, those who don't....punishment. But here are some OT texts where God puts ALL nations on notice:

Ezekiel 14:12 The word of the LORD came to me: 13 "Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its men and their animals, 14 even if these three men—Noah, Daniel [a] and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.

15 "Or if I send wild beasts through that country and they leave it childless and it becomes desolate so that no one can pass through it because of the beasts, 16 as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but the land would be desolate.

17 "Or if I bring a sword against that country and say, 'Let the sword pass throughout the land,' and I kill its men and their animals, 18 as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved.

19 "Or if I send a plague into that land and pour out my wrath upon it through bloodshed, killing its men and their animals, 20 as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they could save neither son nor daughter. They would save only themselves by their righteousness.

Here's another in Jeremiah 18:5 Then the word of the LORD came to me: 6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. 7 If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, 8 and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned. 9 And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, 10 and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.

Think also of Nivevah the capital of Assyria. They were warned to repent or perish by Jonah.

There are many who believe that WW1 and WW2 were wars allowed by God because of the great apostasy from the reformation. Germany was at the forefront in the 'higher criticism' of the Bible and stripped it of everything supernatural denuding it of a real Living God.

America has had an abundance of light but like Europe pre WW2 it is in apostasy. Messengers and prophets are calling for repentance like Jonah. If America does not listen, America will be judged.
