According to global strategist and think tank Startfor, when French police arrested three Algerian men in January, sources say, another attack was thwarted in Europe. The men were Muslims who had originally come from North Africa but received training and combat experience in Chechnya, where seasoned Chechen militants are replacing al-Qaeda as mentors for a European jihad.
According sources in Chechnya and Bangladesh Chittagong Hills, innumerous training camps have been shifted from Afghanistan to these areas by Al-Queda and similar Jihadists.
Situation in Bangladesh is especially bad. The Government of Bangladesh in spite of India’s continuing protests, have allowed these Islamic Jihadists to operate and train militants to be shipped all over the world for creating terror.
The matter is so grave that India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has to cancel his trip to the country when Indian intelligence found out that the Judaists were ready to assassinate him and other senior Indian Government officials.
The Russians have in recent days, created difficult terrain for the Al-Queda in Chechnya. But still Chechens are openly collaborating with international terrorists.
Another area of intense Al-Queda activity is the Afghan and Pakistan China border.
