A Kennedy Airport terminal was partially evacuated last night after a bomb scare at Israel's El Al Airline, officials said.
An El Al CTX machine - a $1 million baggage screening device that detects explosives - gave an alert about 6:15 p.m., according to Port Authority spokesman Alan Hicks.
The NYPD's bomb squad responded and determined the suspicious luggage did not contain any explosives.
Hundreds of passengers were cleared from the International Arrivals Terminal while the investigation took place. Eight flights were delayed during the hour and 15 minute incident, Hicks said.
