Is Bible Prophecy Fulfillment About To Begin?

There have been a series of news developments that we have noticed that ordinarily and by themselves would not constitute any particular attention by us, the public-at-large, the news media or other Bible Prophecy watchers. Some of what we've watched has garnered a level of interest for its own sake but we've seen no one putting together a whole string of events and news stories to "connect" the dots per se with an eye towards Biblical prophecy. This article, however will bring these disparate stories together because we see the potential, but mind you its merely POTENTIAL that all of these related events/stories could merge into a grand procession of actions that parlay into Biblical Prophecy fulfillment.   Will it happen?  We don't know. Could it happen?  We think it certainly could.  Our purpose is to further alert our readers to the fact that Bible Prophecy fulfillment is not necessarily for some far off distant point beyond the lifetimes of ourselves, our children or grandchildren.  Events could easily trip tomorrow or next week or next month even that could begin the fulfillments of the prophecies found in Revelation and elsewhere, starting with the destruction of Mystery Babylon (The USA)   via the first of two judgments!

This article is not an attempt to predict anything. We make no prophetic revelations from God.  We have no "thus saith the Lord" pronouncements.  We have not had a visit from an angel.  We have kept our eyes and ears open and monitoring for events that might be on course towards eventually matching with the written prophecies of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.   What transpires is not an assertion that any Bible prophecy is for certain going to happen this year or next year per se.  We merely are noting to our readers that the "conditions" appear to be right for events that could come together (much like hurricane or tornado weather forecasting)perhaps quickly and actually become the fulfillment of the written, prophesied events of the Bible.

Immediately after GulfWar2, we here at The Alpha-Omega Report concluded that the war was merely one more brick being placed structure of the prophecy stage being built by human events.  We suspected that perhaps, just perhaps it might take a great deal more time before we saw the start of the Tribulation and the rise of the Antichrist and the return of Jesus Christ for His Church and eventual establishment of the Millenial kingdom here on Earth.  In fact, the general flow of news related to possible prophetic fulfillment seemed to be declining in significant effects in and of themselves.  About 2 weeks ago though, we began to note the news regarding Iraq and the Mideast "experts" on talk shows and interviews discussing near term strategy and what was to be done regarding an escalation of violence against US soldiers in Iraq.  That began to vaguely alert us that perhaps something "was up" on the horizon.  So it was that when we read a few days ago an "intel" report about the Iraq situation that we became wide-awake again which prompted what is now becoming this article.

So what are we saying?  This report will present a string of different data points that separately lack any reason to give much notice to them much urgency from a Bible Prophecy standpoint.  However, when viewed together, they present a very powerful recognition that we "may not be in Kansas anymore, Toto" to borrow an all too often used phrase from "The Wizard of Oz."   What we will do with this article is present each of these datapoint events separately and then begin to pull them all together afterwards with some analytical resolution applied for perhaps a clearer recognition of what may or may not be coming our way soon.  So let's begin with the first datapoint that really triggered this article.

Guerrilla Warfare Breaks Out - Rumors of Renewed War in Iraq with WMD's.

Did you think that GulfWar2 -- The War For Babylon was over? We here at The Alpha-Omega Report thought so. We all witnessed the American troops occupying Iraq's capital city of Baghdad. The world heard President Bush declare on May 1st that the war was over. Yet since then, a rising level of guerilla warfare has plagued US military personnel on an almost daily basis for the past several weeks.

Recently, we began to take note of media interviews with "military experts" suggesting that in fact, the war may not be over after all. Instead there were allusions made that a guerilla war might break out. Here's the latest example from the new US Army commander in Iraq stating that the enemy attacks are becoming more sophisticated and coordinated. This is an admission that something new may be developing in Iraq. But what could be developing? Could we see a full-scale guerrilla war like with Vietnam or of Afghanistan of the 1980s? We have watched analysts and commentators talking generally but no one was providing any hard data or specific.  He even admits that the situation is devolving into a guerrilla war.   FOX News is now reporting that current guerrilla campaign was part of Saddam's plans long before the war started.   Saddam is now reportedly calling for Jihad or Holy War against the US.

In the last few days, an Israeli intelligence news website, Debka.com has circulated information that Saddam Hussein is not only alive and well but preparing to resume full-scale military operations utilizing those mysterious Special Republican Guard units that mysteriously vanished. Debka indicates that they are ensconced in a huge underground military complex the size of a large city far north of Baghdad. But more on this later.

Bush Administration Looks For Diversions for Political Reasons

The end result of the current Iraqi situation and the allegations that Bush lied about the Iraqi threat is leading to demands for investigations that could perhaps result in impeachment or a new Bush administration effort to find the WMD's and Saddam once and for all. Such moves might pressure Bush into further, reckless military action in the Mideast? Perhaps a war with Iran? Reckless moves could lead to a snowballing series of events, but there are many other subjects and elements to the prophetic picture that we are watching for convergence. Perhaps instead the next adventure could be in the Holy Land, or North Korea?

The Israeli-Palestinian Problem

We also made note that the recent diplomatic initiatives in the Holy Land included a short-term cease-fire with Israel and the Palestinians and related terror groups that would expire around the time of the Feast of Trump- ets in September. (See Jewish Holidays website) Additionally, we've learned that the hostile enemies of Israel were using this "cooling off" period to build up supplies and beef-up capabilities plus generally prepare for a greatly renewed offensive against Israel.

The North Korea Nuclear Crisis

We've also noted developments in the North Korean "nuclear crisis" that seems to be coinciding also with the developments in the Middle-East. North Korea has just announced that it is now in a position to begin building 6 to perhaps 12 nuclear weapons. See NY Times report here. In addition to that report comes news that former US Defense Secretary under President Clinton, William Perry just revealed that he believes a war with Korea is coming perhaps even before the end of 2003. More on Perry's views are here.

In addition to Perry's views, we found this Australian TV interview with a N. Korea expert (who often-times speaks on behalf of the North Korean government) whose comments indicate a nuclear war will occur (and soon) if the U.S. pursues its joint naval exercises that practice interdicting N. Korean freighters. Even such practices would be considered an act of war and could result in a North Korean pre-emptive strike on the U.S. with "hundreds" of missiles warheads upon the US mainland cities. The US government has apparently informed Japan that North Korea has targeted 200 medium-range Rodong missiles at the land of the rising sun. According to The Indian Express Newspaper online edition, US officials told the Japanese government that North Korea has small nuclear warheads that can be mounted on those medium-range missiles.

We highly doubt those assertions made by the spokesman that North Korea has such capabilities. We do find it plausible that they might have some kind of small, crude weapons useable by terrorists that could be sold to terror groups for use in the Mideast or by terrorists smuggling such small devices into US cities. But, we digress from our focus in this article. Suffice it to say that this mounting nuclear crisis is running parallel to other events that we also believe may well relate to Biblical prophetic fulfillment.

Iran's Emergence As A Threat

Then as we began to connect-the-dots and analyze those elements and then we began to see linkage to other related to developments that also seemed to have linkage to Biblical prophecy fulfillment. We noted the Iranian situation with students rioting for pro-Democracy being opposed by the Islamic ayatollahs. Then we noted the recent Iranian ballistic missile tests along with further reports suggesting that Iran is furiously working towards achieving nuclear weapons production this year or next plus Iran acquiring working nukes either on the "black market" or from rogue nations such as North Korea. The we just received word as we were preparing this article that Iran announced that it had discovered a massive new oil field rivaling those recently discovered in central Asia at 38 billion barrels. For more on this news, click here. Then we read an interesting analysis by a secular commentator who raised the question of a possible coming oil-war with Iran, plus the specter of war with Syria. This all added a new wrinkle to the mix of information we were analyzing and seems to merely add more fuel to the fiery notion that perhaps Biblical prophetic fulfillments might yet be about to come to pass. So is Bush's next adventure a war in Iran?

6-6-6 Technology Advancements. Wal-Mart Ramps Up

We also discovered that Wal-Mart was ordering the switch to a more technologically advanced 6-6-6 type of technology (RDIF) that will be able to track your every move and eventually force all humans to have a digital ID or better yet, an RFID chip in your own hand. Here's the latest news report on Wal-Mart's mandate requiring it's top 100 suppliers to begin using RFID chips.  More news here

There's also a big conference underway as we write this article.  MIT Engineers and major CEOs of big retailer companies are meeting on the RFID developments.

Solar Developments and SOHO satellite data.

As if that were not enough, we've also been monitoring further solar activity in space via the SOHO satellite operated by NASA and the ESA. The sun has been acting oddly again plus there have been further mysteries imaged that may or may not have a conventional explanation. In fact, we've noted that in May there seemed to be circumstantial imaging indications that maybe there has been some sort of intelligently controlled objects involved in perhaps some sort of warfare-like behavior in the vicinity of either the sun or the SOHO satellite. Further complicating the picture were problems that NASA says developed with the SOHO satellite itself that many believe were false.  This includes scientist Dr. Jim McCanney. There is also the rash of comets appearing unexpectedly, especially Comet NEAT. Plus sun-grazing comets being discovered as well as near-earth asteroids that have given Earth some "close calls." Some think Earth is been wading its way through the tail debris of Comet NEAT. Remember, Comet NEAT passed by last winter.

To further underscore the SOHO data points, we note information from The Millenium Group's website. All of these reports may provide further indications that some sort of non-human intelligent activity is occurring in near-Earth orbit and captured on U.S. weather satellite images, as part of the GOES system of satellites. Weather and Geophysical Changes

We also note the recent bizarre weather patterns around the world.  Like what? How about increased changes in temperature?  Even CNN has noted weather extremes are on the rise.  Salt Lake has had record heat.  Phoenix, Arizona has had unusually higher heat.  Europe has been sweltering in record heat.

The Swiss Alps are reportedly losing their mountain glaciers.  Spikes in geological activity including the volcano at Montseratt losing its dome.  Earthquakes are still rumbling of course at an unusual pace but nothing too much out of the ordinary at the moment.

Here's a report wondering if the Earth is slowing down.   We're not sure what to make of this article either.

Diseases and Plagues

SARS has been a big news item all year long. We could provide dozens of links on that disease but the latest can be found here.  There of course has been the continuing story of West Nile Virus invading and returning to the United States plus a form of smallpox called the Monkey Virus has surfaced this year in the USA. Also we've just run across information about cases of Bubonic plague resurfacing this time in Algeria.  Hepatitis B & C problems rising in Wyoming, USA.  Legionaires disease is making news. Mystery Plague strikes India.

Now we read of a new and really serious threat to everyone from "superbugs" (resistant to antibiotic drugs). Patients in hospitals with superbug resistance are apparently able to spread that superbug to many others who work or visit in the hospital. Such a development poses a significant threat to the entire social fabric of civilization.  Read more here from a Reuter's news story.  There are also new cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis being reported at triple the rate of just two weeks ago.

Turkish Government Marches Towards Islamic Fundamentalism

The WorldTribune.com website ran a recent article chronicling the nation of Turkey's advances towards a more Islamic government and adopting more fundamentally Islamic values and regressing from a secular society. See their report here. [link may soon die?] Such developments along with the ill-will created between that government and the Allied forces may drive such a wedge that Turkey will become overtly hostile to US and allied activities in the region.  One day, perhaps in the not too distant future, Turkey may become a hostile nation against the United States and Britain as well as against Israel. That nation now seems to have perhapsbegun a move in that direction.

A Parade of Events Unfolding?

For those readers of this article who are well versed in Biblical prophecy and especially those in the book of Revelation, you should note a correlation in many of the above data points if not all of them. In a short period of 6 months and especially now in the past few weeks we have had a parade of events and news that seems to closely parallel the descriptions of future events that were predicted in the book of Revelation.

So, you may ask whether any of these events are correlated to imminent prophetic fulfillment. We are not sure but it raises the possibility in our minds. We see the potential possibility that within a matter of weeks we might see a scenario play out that could very well fit the written descriptions of prophetic events that were long-ago predicted. You may also ask what we see as the most foreboding possibilities? We suspect that the situation in Iraq could provide the most significant indications of imminent prophetic fulfillment. How so?

We can see the possibility that the Mystery Babylon judgment may be about to unfold. We're not saying that it will, but that rather for the first time we can see more concrete possibilities, even more so than possibilities we saw prior to and during GulfWar2. Why?

We see a mix of data points that may well be converging upon a series of events prophesied by God through the prophet Jeremiah in chapters 50 & 51. There the prophet describes some data points that could easily be describing the trend of the data points we're now seeing unfold or may be about to unfold in Iraq and Israel.

As it is, terrorist groups on the West Bank and Gaza Strip do not bother to hide their preparations to revive their suicide assaults immediately after the agreed ceasefire ends in two months.  We see signs that perhaps Saddam Hussein isn't gone totally from the scene.  He may yet have the capability to light a match to the Mideast powderkeg with a few missile launches against Israel and US forces in Iraq that include WMD warheads. Such a move could trigger a unique kind of war that might just be what Jeremiah 50 & 51 is describing. 

About three years ago, this researcher began to re-examine Jeremiah 50 and 51 in light of the theory that America was the Babylon of future prophecy, a.k.a. "Mystery Babylon."  However, in reviewing those chapters and keeping in mind the Isaiah 13, 14 and Revelation 16, 17, & 18 passages it seemed that perhaps things were still just a bit confusing.  In fact, as my re-examination developed, it seemed to me as if one really needed a "scorecard" just to keep track of all the possibly different players involved in the Jeremiah 50, 51 passages.  It seems as if those chapters may be describing events occuring in many different places on the globe and not merely in "Babylon" itself.  Initially in my re-examination I spotted the "Israel" location becoming a target of violent warfare actions. 

I realized that this was something that I'd overlooked for several years. I'd merely assumed the text must be merely describing Babylon's destruction.   After all, that was the title given to those chapters in the English translation publications like the KJV, the NASB, the NIV, etc etc.  Surely those editors couldn't have been wrong could they?  Well, maybe yes and maybe no was my response.   Later, as I dug further into this aspect I began to realize that we'd all missed a significant contextual shift in those passages in which Israel is also being described as being devastated.  I wrote about this in Volume 2 of America, The Babylon published in 2002 that perhaps Babylon-America would be destroyed not only by angelic actions (see Revelation 16:17-21 and Revelation 18:21 as well as Isaiah 13:1-6) but perhaps there would be some additional human hands from 4 distinct areas (or tribes) from the Middle East Mesopotamian area.

Jeremiah indicates 4 different names of tribes or areas are involved in either the violent warfare actions against only Israel, while Babylon is destroyed, or against Babylonian forces by Babylonian forces plus Persian and other tribes from what is now northern Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan and Syria.  Perhaps we might inlucde   Pakistan too but it seems almost too far out from the area mentioned by Jeremiah's writings.  These 4 nations(?) or tribes or areas may or may not be involved in the destruction of Mystery Babylon's homeland but they may instead be involved in attacks on Babylon forces in the Mideast and upon Israel and or Babylon's forces attempting to protect Israel.  It is hard to really discern the context with any absolute certainty for me at this point in my research.  Perhaps at a later time,  I can become most certain on this matter.  It still seems to me that the main portion of Mystery Babylon's homeland destruction will be accomplished by angelic forces acting under Divine command.

So what's the Big Deal?

Yes, that is a good question to ask at this point. The answer is connected to the current Iraqi situation and the Mideast equation in general.  The current media climate would lead us to think that the main part of the geo- political storms (i.e. war) has passed but in reality, beneath the surface that does not seem to be the case at all. Things are bubbling at a boiling point beneath the surface throughout the entire Middle East but the focal point is in Mesopotamia itself along with the Holy Land, even though there seems to be a cease-fire of sorts between Irael and the terrorists.

The big deal that really set off my alarm bells was the recent reports coming from the website -- www.debka.com .   That intelligence group had posted only portions of it's weekly newsletter analysis of 7/8/03 regarding the situation in Iraq.  Other segments of the article provided greater detail on Saddam's capabilities as well as extensive cooperation and support from Syria as well as terrorist groups.  In short, Debka is indicating (and we've heard this from other US retired military talking-heads in media interviews) that Saddam is probably capable of and preparing a renewed, organized military campaign of more than just guerilla warfare. 

Debka is indicating that 'intel' sources believe Saddam has a fair amount of his army in a reserve under- ground facility of massive size.  This facility is miles long and wide and deep underground.  It is supporting a battery of medium-range ballistic missiles that may just have WMD warheads affixed to them and ready for use against US military forces in Iraq.  While Debka discounts such use against Israel, we're not quite ready to conclude that Israel is out of danger from these missiles.  It depends on their range of course, providing that indeed the "intel" sources are correct that Saddam does have these hidden inside northern Iraq.

Debka is also reporting that not only does Saddam have several units of Special Republican Guards and Fedayeen units underground (along with 200-250 tanks) but also is being reinforced by Syrian and terrorist soldiers also hiding out underground, preparing for a surprise mass-offensive against U.S. forces.  This would explain why suddenly the US 3rd Division was told it couldn't return home to the USA just yet.   It would also explain why Reuters Newswire Service is reporting rumors from Pentagon sources that more US Army Reserves may be called up to report for duty in Iraq.  We understand from media sources that perhaps 10,000 National Guard troops will be deployed to Iraq.

What this expanse of information about the Iraqi situation means is that major combat could redevelop and in fact, serious WMD combat could yet transpire that might trigger an unfolding of events that become Prophetic fulfillment of Jeremiah 50 and 51.  It may even be that Jeremiah 50 and 51 is actually describing the same war as Ezekiel 38/39 describes, also known as the Gog-Magog war.  If you are not familiar with and or have not read America, The Babylon -- Volumes 1 and 2 (especially Volume 2 - which specifically addresses this aspect of identifying the 4 groups mentioned in Jeremiah 50/51) you will find it helpful to get and read, study that material to better understand the demise of Mystery Babylon-America and how it may unfold based upon intensive analysis of Hebrew and Greek texts.

We are not predicting that America as Babylon is at this moment on the verge of the fiery judgment predicted  by the Bible but rather that we see the possible pieces in place now for such a fulfillment.  It is possible that the judgment upon America, the Mystery Babylon will not transpire for many years to come, but at the moment it does seem possible that it could yet occur even this year.  It really depends upon what point we really are at on God's timetable.  So our purpose with this article is to act as a Watchman on the Wall and alert the body of Christ to the possibility that His Plan is about to be enacted. 

So How Do the Other Datapoints Fit Into All Of This?

The Korea Factor:

We do not see North Korea playing a role directly as a destroyer of Mystery Babylon-America.  We do think that it is possible that North Korea might provide advanced technical support to those 4 groups mentioned in Jeremiah 50/51 who are described as making war against a future Babylon.  It is also possible that in that mix will be terrorist actions that are directed against the US mainland that might involve some WMD perhaps provided by North Korea.  However, I think primarily any supporting role by North Korea would likely be for assisting with advanced technology weapons supplied to those Arab forces engaged in actions against America, The Babylon military forces now stationed in Mesopotamia and perhaps also actions against Israel by those hostile Arab forces.

The Iran Factor:

Iran is one of those directly mentioned in Jeremiah 50/51 as involved in actions against Babylonian forces in the Mesopotamian region. Other names mentioned are those residing in what was at the time, ancient Babylon.  So that, if the Babylon of Jeremiah 50/51 was a reference to ancient Babylon being destroyed by these four names, then at least one and actually perhaps all 3 of the four are names that already composed the ancient empire of Babylon.  So how could Babylon be destroying itself?  Civil War?  The text does not indicate that. Instead it is indicating that outside forces destroy Babylon and her empire.  Iran is a key player and perhaps the ringleader.  The latest developments with Iran obtaining longer range missiles capable of hitting Israel and accomodating nuclear warheads is indeed prophetically ominous and highly significant.  We also note the various intel rumors of the past couple of years that Iran may have already bought some nuclear warheads on the black market from Russian mafia sources or from North Korea or Pakistan. Other sources indicate "intel" reports suggesting that Al Qaeda might also have obtained small nuclear weapons, perhaps suitcase-sized nukes.  We don't know, but the tensions between the US and Iran certainly seem to be following the trend that matches with ultimately conflict between the US (as Mystery Babylon) and Iran.

The Holy Land Peace Problem

The Jeremiah prophecies indicate that Israel also suffers some levels of destruction at the same time Babylon is destroyed. It will apparently come at the hands of these 4 nations or groups that reside in the Mesopota- mian region and probably also the Palestinians themselves.  Israel, however, will survive.   Indeed, the Jews still living in Babylon just before her destruction will leave to return to Israel to assist in the rebuilding of the Temple which may be made possible by the violence done to Israel during the war.  The fact that there is now a temporary "cease-fire" or cessation of major terrorism inside Israel underscores that the deal is to only last for two months -- into the month of September when the Feast of Trumpets is held. 

We also note the Jewish calendar of historic events involves the fast days of 17 Tammuz and 9 Av, and the time between them. This time period commemorates the tragic process of the destruction of the two Holy

Temples in Jerusalem.  The fast of the 17th of Tammuz, the day of the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem, marks the beginning of the Three Weeks".  The fast of the 9th of Av, commemorates the day of the actual destruction by fire of the Holy Temple, and is the last day of the Three Weeks. The three weeks is a period of mourning over these destructions.  The Three Weeks, for the year 5763 / 2002-2003, began on July 17, 2003

(17th of Tammuz), and will continue through August 7, 2003 (9th of Av).  Saddam Hussein in particular, knowing how he likes to repeat history might really want to take some sort of action against Israel during this time frame. After all, Saddam likes to think he is the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar who destroyed Jerusalem and took over the Temple the first time in 586 B.C.  We are right now in this time period.  This was another reason for me to raise an alert to 'be prepared' for any kind of action that might prove to become prophetic fulfillment. 

6-6-6 Technological Advances

The sudden escalation of development of RFID technology by merchants such as Wal-Mart for use by the end of this year means that it won't be too long before a huge chunk of the prophetic aspects of 6-6-6 would be in place.  Remember, that no one will be able to buy or sell without the "mark" of the beast.  If RFID chips are in everything, and if an ID chip inserted (Digital Angel) is used as a buyer's identification mark perhaps also with an RFID capability then for the first time ever, mankind will be in a position to fulfill Revelation 13.  We only need the "Beast" himself to show up for worship.  Events in this area of prophecy are moving now at a lightning speed.

Solar and Outer Space Developments

There has been a lot of strange activity out near our sun. Some of it is from the sun itself, but the NASA/ESA satellite called SOHO has also been photographing other very bizarre events and phenomena that defy normal explanations including of course the infamous "sun cruisers."  For more background on this visit our various reports on SOHO anomalies here. 

Also,  The Millenium Group website has featured a series of articles involving other NASA satellites that are snapping pictures of large "fleets" of unknown objects apparently under intelligent control and orbiting above planet Earth.  The author of those articles thinks it might be a link to Revelation 9 and the "armies" of the King of Abaddon.  He may be correct on that, or they might be from loyal angelic forces of God, tasked with destroying Mystery Babylon.   If so, then surely we are near the time when the first judgment of Mystery Babylon takes place which starts the time-clock ticking for the 7 years of Tribulation.

The Remaining Datapoints

The remaining datapoints we've mentioned merely underscore that those same elements are described in the prophecies as playing key parts in the prophecies but at later points after Babylon's first judgment, during the Tribulation period.   Seeing these elements becoming more pronounced only seems to underscore the notion that indeed, maybe we are getting very, very close to the time of fulfillments.

Reminder:  I am not a prophet just a Watchman on the Wall

Before we close this article I want to remind all readers that I make no prophecies, nor predictions.  I am only a watchman on the wall whose job it is to sound an alert to the Body of Christ as events unfold telling everyone just how close we are/may be to His eventual Return.  We, at The Alpha-Omega Report do not know when things will unfold on God's timetable.  We only know that is seems that it could be very, very soon now.
