Prophetic (?) Dream

Greetings Steve,

I just came across your section on prophetic dreams and visions. I'm glad you invite others to share these on your site. Around last summer (2002), I had a disturbing dream. Though it was somewhat disturbing, I hadn't really put much thought into it until recently. With the recent situations in Iraq, North Korea, and the Middle East, as well as the nuclear tensions between India and Pakistan (not to mention the very recent decision by Japan to re-arm for the potential aggression of North Korea), my dream has been weighing heavily on my mind. It was brief, but poignant. Here is what I dreamed:

It was an overcast (even gloomy) day and my wife and I were at home and were in a rather distraught (or at least extremely concerned) state of mind. As we paced about packing up clothes and such, my mother pulled up in an Explorer. She was very upset and crying, and she was urging us to hurry up. We began to frantically load our packed things into the Explorer as if not just taking a trip, but fleeing from something. Then we saw it streaking across the sky a great distance away. As it disappeared over the far off horizon, we heard the most terrifying noise, and as we glared in the direction of the horrible sound, we saw the huge plume rising into the distant sky. I immediately yelled, "Let's go, let's go!" As I reached into the doorway for the last suitcase, I heard my mother and wife standing by the Explorer screaming and crying. I stepped out and looked up, only to see it streaking straight for us with a horrible screaming sound. I ran to embrace my wife one last time, but just as our hands met, the bomb hit and we were gone ---

When I first had this dream, I though maybe I had just seen too many movies. It disturbed me because it seemed so real. But I pretty much left it at that, not really thinking to evaluate it. But each day as more news unfolds of the "rumors of wars" and the increasingly itchy trigger fingers of those in possession of nuclear weapons, my dream has been on my mind quite a bit. On top of that, my wife and I live less than an hour away from the CDC in Atlanta - a high risk terrorist target according to our government. I don't really know if this dream was prophetic or not, but I thought that I would go ahead and share it with you. If you feel in your spirit that it is indeed prophetic, then at least you may post it at your discretion.
