Dr. Patricia Doyle on This Year's "Flu"

Hello Steve:

I feel that this year's flu is a recombinent with an (as yet) unidentified virus, maybe or maybe not a mutated SARS.

I am getting reports from other areas of the world of an unidentified illness that, like the cases in the US, is hitting young people. Russia (including cases in Siberia) and Brazil.

This flu, which is now being called (as I predicted) fujian LIKE has a mutated panama strain.

When I heard the term LIKE added to fujian, I could not help but remember the altering of the A strain H1N1 Spanish Flu by our military. They added genes from the 1918 flu to CONTEMPORARY.

I find it strange and paradoxical that we are hit with a mutated virulent strain of flu, for which we have no immunity, the same year that we alter 1918 flu with contemporary. Did they add it to A strain panama? Could this be why A panama has mutated virulent?

...or has SARS and/or SARS like recombined with Influenza. I checked back over the SARS genome blast sequence and did find that it contains A strain in the genetic DNA.

If possible, please try to find some doctors or lab people who are willing to talk. I did find an MD in Hyde Park who is going to give me information should he see a case of this flu LIKE illness patient confidentiality ensured. He will not identify patients but will give me data on what the virus DNA looks like. Suggest you ask a "friendly" MD to simply give you a run down on what the virus looks like without divulging any patient ID or case history.

Something not correct with this flu. IF the flu is a not naturally occurring mutant we would see this occur. My gut feeling is that the 1918 flu was lab mutated by the Germans and that accounted for so many deaths.

Of course, given the fact that most of Europe was in horrific condition with famine and poor sanitation, one would expect to hear of many deaths from flu. However, the US did have adequate food sources and normal sanitation and therefore morbidity and mortality numbers should not have been so high. Likewise, South America, Asia, Australia etc were unaffected by the war. They also did not have density of population with returning troops.

A mutated virus i.e. one that underwent mutation unnaturally would cause such casualities. Even when a virus mutates (naturally) it does so from one that is circulating and usually is close enough to the original to be affected by previous immunity. In theory, the A Fujian strain should be close enough to last year's A Panama and people should have immunity. This is the theory and claim that the flu shots containing A Panama will provide enough immunity to protect against strain A Fujian. In reality this is not happening. We can therefore determine that we either have a recombinent with another virus or even bacteria or we have a lab mutated virus in this years flu.

If you get further details on this flu please advise and I will keep you updated as well. Please stay well and stay out of crowded stores. I purchased bank credit cards for Christmas gifts and gifts for my Grandchildren on the internet. No stores, lines filled with coughing, hacking and ill shoppers or retail help.

I also urge ANYONE feeling ill to STAY HOME for the sake of themselves and the population.

Patricia
