5-Year-Old Japanese Boy Gets Mystery Pneumonia in H.K.

Hong Kong health authorities said Friday a 5-year-old Japanese boy has been infected with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), becoming the first confirmed Japanese national to contract the mysterious pneumonia in the territory.
The boy, who attends a kindergarten on Hong Kong island, started showing symptoms of pneumonia on March 15 and was hospitalized on March 22, the authorities said. His condition has since stabilized, they said. (Kyodo News)
